Marissa + Jay - Cambridge MA Engagement Session
In this engagement session, Marissa and Jay chose to start around the neighborhood where they have been taking walks during this period of social distancing. It was a sunny day with warm weather, perfect for capturing natural, relaxed moments. We discovered a charming little courtyard tucked between buildings, featuring classic New England elements like brick walls, stone accents, and iron gates.
We decided to spend the golden hour at the Charles River Yacht Club. I felt so lucky to shoot at this members-only location, strolling along the docks and getting up close to the beautiful boats.
The lighting was at its perfect point, and the breeze added a welcome touch of drama to Marissa’s elegant blue dress from Fame and Partners. We played with the wind through twirling shots, captured intimate moments in the soft golden light, and used the stunning Boston skyline and yachts as a dramatic backdrop for a few striking images.
Thank you, Marissa and Jay, for trusting me completely. I cannot wait to document your wedding next year. I will surely miss this private yacht club on the Charles River.
