Luan + Stephen - Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill Wedding, North Andover

Some winter weddings feel like a cozy escape. The kind of day where the world outside is cold and quiet, but everything inside feels warm, intentional, and full of heart.

Luan and Stephen’s winter wedding at Stevens Estate at Osgood Hill in North Andover was exactly that. The estate’s historic charm and beautifully restored interiors set the scene, but what made the day unforgettable was the way they stayed close to each other through every moment.

Getting Ready Together, With Intention

One of the most meaningful choices they made was getting ready together.

Instead of starting the day apart, they kept it intimate from the beginning. There was no rush, no pressure, just the two of them helping each other look their best. Straightening a collar, fixing a tie, smoothing out a jacket. Small gestures that felt like a quiet promise: we are in this together.

That calm energy carried into everything that followed. It also made the photos feel natural and real, because the connection was already there before the day even officially began.

Winter Portraits With Warm Light and Greenery

Even in winter, Stevens Estate offers beautiful outdoor portrait options, and we took advantage of them without straying far. The key was staying close to the venue and moving quickly between spots so everyone stayed comfortable.

We created portraits with warm, romantic lighting against pockets of greenery, letting the estate’s grounds add texture and depth while the light kept everything soft and flattering. The result felt wintery, but not cold. Classic, but still alive.

A Ceremony Rooted in Emotion

The ceremony took place with the fireplace as the heart of the living room, creating a warm, intimate center stage for their vows. Guests filled in around them and spilled naturally into the parlor, giving the moment a cozy house gathering feel while still feeling elevated and timeless. With everyone close, you could feel every laugh, every smile, and every quiet pause, the kind of ceremony that feels less like a production and more like being welcomed into something deeply personal.

Reception and Celebration

The reception unfolded in the estate’s new expansion, where guests welcomed the newlyweds with pure excitement the moment they entered. Heartfelt speeches brought both laughter and tears, followed by a beautiful cake cutting that felt like a sweet pause before the celebration continued. Throughout the night, the Stevens Estate staff took wonderful care of everyone, serving thoughtfully prepared gourmet meals that made the evening feel warm, effortless, and truly special.

A Nighttime Portrait Moment, Like a Movie Scene

Later in the night, we returned inside for one of my favorite portrait moments of the day.

Stevens Estate is home to a newly restored 1890s oil painting, and we planned a dramatic nighttime portrait setup around it. The lighting was intentionally bold and cinematic, creating deep shadows and a sense of mood you just cannot get during the day.

It felt like stepping into a different world for a few minutes. Two grooms, dressed to the nines, framed by a piece of history, with dramatic light shaping the scene. It was artistic, timeless, and completely them.

Living Room Dance Floor Celebration

When the newlyweds were introduced back into the living room, the energy instantly shifted. What had been a cozy ceremony space earlier in the day transformed into a dance floor, and guests packed in with cheers as the first songs kicked off. With the fireplace as a timeless backdrop and everyone gathered close, the night turned into the kind of celebration that feels like a house party in the best way, loud, joyful, and impossible to leave early.
