Kimberly + Greg - Pagu Wedding, Cambridge MA

A Celebration of Love, Tradition, and Style

Kimberly and Greg’s wedding day was a thoughtful blend of cultural tradition, modern elegance, and genuine emotion. From a quiet, heart-stopping first look in the city to a joyful celebration filled with family, food, and dancing, every part of the day felt intentional and deeply personal.

A Quiet Moment in the Courtyard

The day began at Le Méridien Boston, tucked away from the bustle of the city in the hotel’s courtyard. Kimberly and Greg chose a back-to-back first look, a moment filled with anticipation and emotion. Standing just feet apart without seeing one another, they exchanged a few words, steady breaths, and happy tears before finally turning around. It was intimate, emotional, and a beautiful way to ground themselves before the celebrations ahead.

City Romance at University Park Commons

After the first look, we headed to University Park Commons for portraits. The clean lines, open green spaces, and urban backdrop offered the perfect contrast to the intimacy of the morning. Kimberly and Greg were relaxed, playful, and fully present with each other, making this portrait session feel effortless. The setting gave their photos a modern, editorial feel while still feeling warm and romantic.

Honoring Family Through Tradition

We returned to Le Méridien Boston for the Chinese traditional tea ceremony, one of the most meaningful parts of the day. Surrounded by close family, Kimberly and Greg honored their parents and elders through this time-honored tradition. The ceremony was filled with blessings, laughter, and emotional exchanges that reflected the deep respect and gratitude they share for their families. It was a beautiful reminder of how weddings can bridge generations and cultures in such a heartfelt way. If you’re planning a celebration that includes meaningful cultural traditions, you can also explore more in my Chinese and Vietnamese Wedding Traditions Guide.

Saying “I Do” at Pagu, Cambridge

The celebration continued at Pagu in Cambridge, where Kimberly and Greg hosted their westernized wedding ceremony. Pagu’s chic, contemporary design created a stylish and intimate atmosphere for their vows. As they exchanged promises surrounded by friends and family, the space felt warm, modern, and full of love, perfectly reflecting their personalities as a couple.

An Epic Wedding Reception at Pagu

The celebration kicked off with an epic grand entrance that immediately set the tone for the night. The energy in the room was electric, leading straight into a beautifully choreographed first dance that felt both romantic and cinematic. From the very first song, the dance floor was officially open.

One of the most entertaining highlights of the evening was the shoe game. Laughter filled the room as the couple answered playful questions back to back, raising the “right” shoe with confidence and sometimes hesitation. It was lighthearted, personal, and had every guest smiling.

As the night unfolded, the dance floor stayed packed. Between heartfelt toasts, nonstop dancing, and the incredible Spanish Japanese fusion cuisine from Pagu, the reception felt vibrant, immersive, and unforgettable from start to finish.

A Day That Reflected Them Perfectly

Kimberly and Greg’s wedding was a seamless blend of cultural heritage, modern style, and meaningful moments. Every part of the day felt like a reflection of who they are and what they value. From quiet, emotional moments to an energetic celebration, it was a wedding day filled with beauty, intention, and unforgettable memories.
