Joy + Alex's wedding - The Commons 1854

Joy and Alex's special day started right at this historical venue in Topsfield MA, The Commons 1854.

This is my very first wedding here at The Commons 1854. The moment I walked into the ballroom, I was stunned by how gorgeous the room is, especially the chandeliers, first-floor rotunda, natural lighting coming from the oversized windows and the stage. I can totally see the reason they picked this particular wedding venue.

We decided to do their “first look” right by the fireplace to take advantage of the window lighting and staircase. The ceremony took place at the grand ballroom where 70 guests seated comfortably with room to spare. While the cocktail hour took place downstairs, the amazing crew led by manager Paige efficiently flipped the ballroom into a warm welcoming wedding reception.

The night went on with Joy and Alex’s first dance, Chinese dulcimer performance and Filipino traditional dance all carried out smoothly with the help of DJ Mark from First Class Weddings. It was such an amazing night with many guests coming from all over the world to celebrate this lovely couple’s big day. I just can’t wait to return for a warm weather wedding here at The Commons 1854.
